Permanent Part Time – 64 hours per fortnight

This is an exciting opportunity with the re-development of our new Maryborough Hospital for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at Dunolly Nursing Home in this permanent position! Working in a small rural setting, our ideal applicant is passionate about aged care, demonstrates an ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team, with excellent communication, committed to Montesorri Model of Care, organisational and time management skills.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• Experience in Aged Care Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation and ACFI viewed favourably

Essential

Qualifications:

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

• Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
• Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
