Position Details
THE ROLE
As a Senior Service Improvement Specialist, you will assist area managers build the capacity, capability and sustainability of the child protection service in line with legislative and Departmental requirements. With a key responsibility for business and performance analysis, you will improve local capacity to better manage the service, identify opportunities to improve consistency and compliance and to promote reform. You will provide direct support to areas and individuals when demand exceeds capacity to manage.
Located in a central Community Operations and Practice Leadership, Service Enhancement branch within it the Specialist Intervention unit, you have an important leadership role to support area and local managers improve the performance, effectiveness and consistency of operations by the introduction of service improvement methods, systems and approaches.
As a Senior Service Improvement Specialist, you will provide direct support to operational leadership to build the capacity, capability and sustainability of the child protection service in line with legislative and departmental requirements and the establishment of business and work processes to support local capacity improvements to better manage and identify opportunities to improve consistency and compliance and promote reform. You will provide direct support to areas and individuals when demand exceeds capacity to manage.
Pivotal to your success in this fulfilling role, ideal candidates will possess:
- A demonstrated ability to quickly establish strong relationships with Area based child protection practitioners and senior managers
- Child protection operational experience at a senior level
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Support the implementation of divisional business improvement initiatives to improve child protection program capacity and performance
- Deliver business and service improvement recommendations to areas based on analysis and review
- Support the operational delivery of CP SIU deployment activities to improve service delivery systems
