Position Details
THE ROLE
The Advanced Child Protection Practitioner receives and assesses reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people. They undertake investigations and develop plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. This may include taking matters to court.
An exciting opportunity exists for an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner (CPP4) to provide case management functions to children and families in receipt of a Targeted Care Package (TCP) as well as to oversee the case coordination function of TCP's contracted to service providers implementing the TCP.
TCP's provide for flexible and individualised supports that better meet the needs of children and young people to transition from residential care to alternative care arrangements. The packages can also provide maximised support and tailored approaches to maintain children and young people at home where there is vulnerability and risk to the sustainability of their care at home
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
