Exciting opportunities are available for talented and passionate Senior Policy/Project Officers to join the Victorian Treaty Advancement Commission.
The Commission is laying the foundations for Aboriginal communities to negotiate Treaty with the State of Victoria. The Senior Policy/Project Officer role involves the chance to be a part of a small team responsible for leading the treaty process in Victoria.
Core duties include providing high level, strategic policy advice, detailed analysis, and/or project development and management for the Commissioner and Director across a range of issues. Further, they include leading on research, policy analysis, project management and or stakeholder engagement to inform the development of policy relating to the establishment of the Aboriginal Representative Body and broader treaty process.
These roles require proactive self-starters with the ability to work in complex, sensitive and fast paced environments.
The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent policy, analytical, and/or project management and communication skills coupled with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in project management and/or policy is essential.
