About this role
Subject: Expression of interest – Grants & Engagement Manager, VPSG3, 24 months
Please note, the DEECA employee will be paid at their substantive grade.
About the Policy
The Policy allows for a two-way exchange or sole placement of staff to assist Traditional Owner Corporations (TOCs) with important support functions that will enable them to increase their impact in achieving their objectives and aspirations in self-determination. The Policy is derived from Action 3.3 ofthe Traditional Owner and Aboriginal Community Engagement Framework (the Framework) which is to ‘Scope options for secondment opportunities between DEECA and Traditional Owner Corporations'. Furthermore, the policy is strongly aligned with DEECA's direction to support Aboriginal self-determination and provide TOCs with adequate resources to fulfill their aspirations.
Prior to undertaking an exchange opportunity, please ensure that you read and understand the TOC & DEECA Exchange Policy.
Note: When a DEECA resource is released to a TOC, the hiring manager accepts the placement as a learning and development opportunity for their employee and may choose to:
- create and incur costs to fund a new position specifically for the TOC exchange to backfill the vacant position; or
- release a resource without backfilling the vacant position; or
- directly exchange resources between DEECA and TOC (if this is the preferred method by the TOC).
Prior to submitting an EOI, please consult with your line manager and ensure they are aware of the TOC & DEECA Exchange Policy terms and conditions. Please refer to our TOC and DELWP Exchange Policy FAQ.
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Jenna-Maree Jacob (Jenna.Jacob@deeca.vic.gov.au), Senior Advisor, Aboriginal Recruitment and Development, First Peoples Self-Determination Division.
