Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an Exhibitions Project Officer to support the operations of exhibitions and public spaces and coordinate small to mid-scale exhibition and display projects at Scienceworks, Museum Victoria’s science and technology centre at Spotswood.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for the presentation of galleries, exhibitions and public spaces at Scienceworks by developing and maintaining schedules, organising maintenance, object changeovers, installation and de-installation activities; and ensuring that small to mid-scale exhibition projects are delivered in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner
Notable skill sets required for this position include:
Experience and understanding of the installation, operation, maintenance and improvement of exhibitions and public spaces.
Knowledge of project management principles including the ability to plan projects effectively and develop project budgets and schedules.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
Demonstrated ability to implement administrative systems and procedures and to solve problems.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
