$66,235 + 9% Superannuation
Museum Victoria is seeking a Senior Project Officer to provide specialist expertise and provide a link between Aboriginal communities, the Humanities Department and the Repatriation Team to ensure effective delivery of the Return of Indigenous Cultural Property program.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for the delivery of a strategically focussed program for the return of ancestral remains and secret/sacred material at Museum Victoria..
Notable skill sets required for this position include:
Must have Sound knowledge of Aboriginal culture and society, particularly in south-eastern Australia, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Experience in cultural heritage management and demonstrated skills in liaison and administrative or collection management systems and procedures.
Knowledge in at least one of the following fields: history, anthropology, archaeology, material culture studies, Aboriginal studies, cultural heritage studies, museum studies or other related studies
Good communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
A current divers licence
