Position Details

About the role

South West Healthcare's Mental Health Services Directorate is seeking an experienced mental health nurse to fill the role: Consultation Liaison Nurse. This exciting role will support the health service in managing mental health issues experienced by patients within the general hospital.

You will be supported by the Senior Mental Health Nurse, along with the Mental Health Access and Medical Teams to undertake this integral role which provides support and links between other hospitals within the region. 

The role entails working to improve outcomes in patient care from a mental health perspective through working directly with patients and families. An additional focus is increasing the capacity of staff to recognise and attend to the mental health needs of patients in these settings, making this a highly rewarding role.

The position is a full time permanent position.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020, with the appropriate classification Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4.

  • Current Immunisation status
