ANUM Registered Nurse/Midwife

Permanent Full Time or Part Time – Up to 80 hours per fortnight

MDHS is seeking a focused and experienced Registered Midwife/Nurse to step up into this leadership role, working in our Acute Amherst Ward in a permanent position. In this role you will be responsible for the daily operational management of the Amherst Ward, in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager. You will also be responsible for promotion of the health and well-being of patients through the delivery of safe and effective care to both our Midwifery and General Medical/Surgical patients.

 KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential Attributes

KSC1    Hold Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Midwife in Victoria and hold a current practising certificate.

KSC2    Demonstrated organisational skills particularly with respect to time management.

KSC3    Demonstrated ability to contribute and practise collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

KSC4    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation.

KSC5    Have well developed interpersonal skills.

KSC6    Demonstrated written and computer skills at the level required to fulfill the role.

KSC7    Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

KSC8    Demonstrated knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities.

KSC9    Post registration experience in Midwifery. FSEP Level 3

Desirable Attributes

KSC10  Post registration qualification in relevant area of speciality or working towards same.

KSC11 Driver's Licence and National Police Certificate.
