If you are an experienced Social Worker looking for a new challenge, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to progress your career in a management role with a diverse range of responsibilities. 

In this position you will have the opportunity to maintain a varied clinical caseload whilst using your management skills and expertise to provide effective leadership to the Social Work team and enhance BRHS Social Work services.  You will participate in the development and embedding of contemporary models of care and take a leadership role for a number of key organizational projects with a focus on improving health and well-being within our community.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, enjoy project management work and be able to manage a number of competing priorities effectively. 


The ideal applicant will demonstrate:

  • A recognised degree in Social Work and evidence of eligibility for membership of AASW
  • Experience as a Senior Social Worker
  • Previous management experience or demonstrated interest in and ability to develop skills in the management of a team of health professionals.
  • Capacity to provide leadership and build capability within a team to achieve person centered health care in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing advanced clinical skills in person centered care and discharge planning for patients with complex needs.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and to motivate and engage with staff in a positive manner to achieve identified objectives.
  • Proven ability to facilitate change management processes and contribute to the development of a co-operative organizational culture that aligns to BRHS principles and trademark behaviours.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management to achieve organizational objectives within agreed time frames.
  • Proven skills and experience to deliver effective training and driving change. (Experience delivering training pertaining to family violence would be an advantage).
  • A good knowledge of sensitive and complex issues affecting women's health policy and service delivery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child safety and family violence legislations and service delivery environment in Victoria.
