The Opportunity

HRV has a new and exciting opportunity within the Flemington Head Office to join the Finance team in the newly created role of Graduate Accountant.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the role will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial and management report for HRV entitles and assists in the preparation of the annual budget and statutory accounts.

The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Preparing monthly management reports (e.g. Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
• Assisting with preparation of year end statutory accounts
• Maintaining the General Ledger and Asset Register
• Assisting with preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget
• Identify areas for improvement in existing practices, systems and procedures

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have:

• A Degree qualification in Accounting  
• Exposure within a finance environment
• Intermediate Excel skills
• A keen interest in working in the harness racing industry
