CGHS is recruiting Senior HMOs, CMOs and SMOs who thrive in the Emergency Department (ED) to provide patient centred, evidenced based care to our community. Positions are ideal for rural GPs with emergency care experience or senior HMOs looking to step up to CMO. You must have the capability to lead the shift and supervise interns and junior HMOs.  General Registration with AHPRA and at least 3 year's post graduate clinical experience with solid experience in providing emergency care in an ED or acute care centre is required. 

 

Attractive salary packages and flexible contracts are negotiable for fulltime, part time, permanent or temporary. working on a roster with other senior medical staff and under the supervision of our very experienced Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services.

 

The ED treats approximately 16,000 patients per year with support from specialty teams in General Surgery, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Anaesthetics. Onsite pathology and medical imaging are available including Nuclear Medicine and MRI.  A variety of visiting specialists provide surgical services and community consulting in ENT, Ophthalmology, Minor Orthopedics, Upper GI, Urology, IVF, Paediatric Surgery, Renal and Vascular Medicine, Cardiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology and Dermatology.
