At the Workplace Injury Commission, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.
We are continuing through an exciting chapter of transformation and growth, with projects underway working towards our Organisational strategic plan. One project involves the disposal of legacy conciliation case records in hard copy format. We are looking for a Data and Records Officer to join this project on a fixed term 12 month contract.
As our Data and Records Officer you will play an important role in identifying records eligible for destruction, liaising with the offsite storage provider, submitting and tracking destruction requests, as well as contributing to and monitoring key project stages to ensure progress. In addition to your track record of delivering outcomes, you will bring your experience and knowledge in records management practices and systems. Harnessing your strong attention to detail, you will have the ability to maintain concentration and demonstrate a high standard of accuracy.
Who we're looking for:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated practical experience working with records management systems and knowledge of records management concepts and best practice
- Prior exposure to records management and archiving projects, including quality assurance practices to ensure successful delivery outcomes
- Experience with spreadsheets (intermediate) and establishing processes for analysing, reporting and filtering large quantities of information that can be presented in logical ways.
- Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to recognise and question anomalies and investigate issues.
- Ability to maintain concentration and a high standard of accuracy while undertaking detailed and repetitive work.
