What you will do
As NCIS Technical Lead, you will lead the maintenance and ongoing operation of the National Coronial Information System.
You will develop solutions, resolve technical issues and help keep the system secure, reliable and useful.
You will:
- lead the ongoing maintenance and operation of the NCIS application and supporting systems
- design and deliver practical solutions, improvements and upgrades that meet business and user needs
- manage incidents and provide senior technical support to resolve issues and defects
- maintain high-quality technical documents and share knowledge to build in-house support skills
- work with technical and business teams to explain complex technical issues in plain language.
About you
A relevant ICT tertiary qualification is desirable. Relevant vocational training or certification in applications or specialist products is also desirable.
You should also have:
- senior-level experience delivering application support and development services
- strong technical skills in Java, SQL and OCI, with experience using software development methods
- the ability to find practical solutions to complex problems and improve systems over time
- strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
