The Department of Justice and Regulation is one of seven departments within the Victorian Government. The department's main purpose is to assist the Government to achieve its vision of a safe and just Victoria, and consists of business units and statutory entities aligned under ten key functions. These include police and prosecution, prison and community corrections services, various tribunals and agencies established to protect citizens' rights, emergency management, emergency services, policy on racing and gaming issues and the provision of legal advice to government.
With approximately 7,000 staff in over 50 business units and service agencies across Victoria, the department offers a diverse range of employment opportunities.
