Position Details
- $28.66 per hour + 25% Casual Loading + Superannuation (in accordance with legislation)

- Based in Southbank with travel to VICSES Units in Melbourne and Regional Victoria
ROLE SUMMARY:
VICSES. Health and Wellbeing Assessors travel to VICSES volunteer units in both metropolitan and regional Victoria locations to deliver our face-to-face Health and Wellbeing engagement programs, which are designed to educate members on wellbeing, disease prevention and promote healthy lifestyle factors.

You will need:
- Qualifications in health-related fields or studying for a health qualification such as Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Dietetics, Osteopathy etc
- Flexible work/study hours to accommodate evening and overnight shifts Monday – Wednesday in Melbourne or Regional Victoria
- Great communication skills and the ability to mentor and motivate our members to set and achieve health and/or fitness goals
- Attention to detail and the initiative to work unsupervised.
- Team focus – our team dynamics are important. This is a great opportunity to learn from each other and work together to create a successful wellbeing culture.
- Solution focus – the ability to problem solve on the go and a flexible approach to the role.
- Current driver's license
The health and wellbeing assessor is a casual role with hours determined by Healthwatch session demand from VICSES units. Healthwatch sessions (working hours) are typically a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening, to accommodate for VICSES volunteers' availability. Health and Wellbeing Assessors average between two and four Healthwatch visits per month, but this can vary.
WHO WE ARE:
Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
