  • Salary $113,022 - $124,884 plus 12% superannuation – VPS Grade 5
  • Based in Melbourne CBD, with hybrid working opportunities

The opportunity  
This tax advisory role deals with complex state tax objections and ruling requests from external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Tax Advisory Review Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Effectively managing a file portfolio of complex objections and/or private rulings across all revenue lines
  • Develop and mentor junior staff in preparing objection determinations and private ruling decisions across all revenue lines
  • Build stakeholder relationships across with private and government stakeholders to deliver and implement revenue reform initiatives

Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in meeting quality and output performance targets in a complex legal and commercial environment
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying complex legislation, including undertaking legal research to produce written taxation decisions
  • High level communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written) to initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
