Senior Governance Officer – Risk and Corporate Governance

  • At least one (1) ongoing Grade 5.2 role in the Finance and Administration Branch, Corporate Services
  • Salary $124,888 - $136,747 plus 12% superannuation
  • Based in Melbourne CBD with hybrid working opportunities

The opportunity  

The SRO is seeking a skilled and experienced risk and corporate governance expert to join our busy and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and support a variety of risk and corporate governance activities throughout the organisation. If you have a strong background in risk and/or corporate governance, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring compliance and value for money outcomes, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Manager – Risk and Corporate Governance, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the implementation of the organisation's risk management framework, including policies, procedures and practices that are consistent with the Victorian Government Risk Management framework.
  • Assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining a contemporary Business Continuity and Crisis Management program.
  • Providing informative reports on risk and audit activities to the Senior Executive Group, Audit and Risk Committee and relevant board/committees. 
  • Ensuring that SRO's insurance policies provide an appropriate level of coverage to support its business operations.

 

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Proven experince in the development and application of contemporary risk management frameworks, policies and procedures, including a sound understanding of applicable standards, trends and issues across a variety of industry sectors, including government.
  2. A record of achievement in similar roles with a detailed knowledge and understanding of business continuity and crisis management.
