About the Business Unit:
The Transformation, Development and Capability business unit is responsible for transformation and learning and development to support employees. The Advisor, Learning and Capability is a member of the Department of Justice and Community Safety within People, Safety, Culture and Communications team.
About the Role:
The Advisor, Learning and Capability is responsible for the effective governance, reporting and data for the Learning & Capability team.
Some of your duties will include:
- Conducting coordination, reporting and analysis of training activities including attendance, skills gaps and participant and leader's feedback
- Working closely with trainers and coordinators to ensure all data is captured accurately and according to systems and process
- Analysing data to identify patterns, strengths, and areas requiring improvement through detailed analyses and present findings to leadership, offering evidence-based recommendations for improving training content, delivery methods, and participant engagement to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Proficiency in a range of software to effectively analyse training data including Excel, PowerPoint and other software.
- Advanced skills in analysing training evaluation data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement with the ability to create reports and provide actionable insights for enhancing training delivery.
- Skilled in using learning management systems (LMS), ideally Nexus, to facilitate reporting and compliance tracking and improve data quality.
- Experience in compiling detailed compliance reports, with the ability to monitor and communicate training gaps, risks, and operational safety concerns.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in business, information technology or similar.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWWC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
- A current driver's licence is required due to the need to work across different locations.
