Position Details

The Senior Training Officer will lead a stream of work to build the capacity and capability of the energy efficiency activities in the residential building sector. This role coordinates the delivery of initiatives to meet industry-facing training, accreditation and workforce development needs that support upskilling, reskilling and enabling diversification of the sector's workforce.

The Senior Training Officer will work closely with the building and construction and building services sectors to understand training and skills needs and capacity to deliver and develop new training and skills options that meet these in partnership with key industry bodies, in addition to the funding and contract management approach for going to market.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in the areas of industry training, accreditations, sustainability, energy efficiency or similar.
  • Experience in grant or contract management and/or appropriate tertiary qualification.
  • Understanding of Victorian government procurement policies, processes and procedures is desirable.
  • Experience using GEMS grants management system and/ or Salesforce is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The successful candidate can select a base of either our Melbourne or Morwell office, hybrid work arrangements are also available.
