About the Business Unit:
The Enquiries and Complaints team supports the Victims of Crime Commissioner to assess and review complaints from victims of crime who believe a justice or victims' support service agency has breached a Victims' Charter principle and they are not satisfied with the agency's response to their concerns. The team also receives and responds to a range of enquiries from people affected by crime. The information the team receives from victims of crime also helps the VOCC to identify systemic trends that victims experience in the justice victims' services systems.
About the Role:
As a Senior Assessment and Investigation Officer, some of your duties will include:
- Leading the continuous improvement of intake, assessment and investigation practice and procedures, including through quality assurance activities and policy development
- Managing workflow and assisting with workforce planning to improve operational processes and performance
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with appropriate external stakeholders and liaising with government and non-government agencies in the course of assessing and investigating complaints under the Victims' Charter, and in pursuit of the organisational priorities.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in working within a service-centric environment
- Experience managing administrative investigations
- Demonstrated experience preparing and editing high quality correspondence and reports
- Experience and ability to work independently and productively in a team-based environment
- Proficiency with case management systems and electronic document management systems
- Experience of direct engagement with people who have experienced trauma or are vulnerable would be highly desirable.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in law or related disciplines would be well regarded.
