About the Role

South West Healthcare's Emergency Department is looking for a dynamic Administration Officer to provide a short term cover of leave.

As an Administrative Support Officer (ASO) – Emergency Department, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe flow of patients within our busy 24/7 department. We're seeking dedicated individuals who share our passion for excellence.

In this diverse role, you'll handle everything from maintaining confidential medical records to managing emergency reception duties with precision. Experience in data entry is essential, and a familiarity with medical terminology would be a valuable asset.

As a 24/7 department, this position is required to work all shifts including holidays, weekends and nights.

Position overview

  • Employment Overview: Part time (48 hours per fortnight), fixed term until July 2025
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus
  • Classification: Administrative Worker Grade 1
  • Salary Range: $58,442.80 - $64,610.00 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you Bring

  • Qualification in Office Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including word processing, email management, and database usage.
  • Strong attention to detail, essential to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Ability to navigate various IT platforms, (e.g. Trakcare and Riskman)
  • Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanour in interactions with the public, external organisations, and colleagues.
  • Aptitude for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines with precision.
