About this role
Make a difference every day at work as a core member of the Health and Wellbeing Team, providing expertise that supports the departments delivery of key corporate objectives for departmental staff who perform critical roles for Victorian people and communities across DEECA portfolios of energy, environment, climate action, water, agriculture and resources.
The Team Leader, Wellbeing Support will provide professional and expert wellbeing advice and support to employees (including Executives) with work and non-work-related concerns. This role enables employees to be heard and provide support to addresses any concerns early, leading programs with avenues for staff to engage in support in response to work related concerns that are impacting on their wellbeing. This role will also provide support to partner agency staff during emergency response periods.
The Team Leader, Wellbeing Support is responsible for the oversight of the department's Peer Support Network including recruitment, training, professional development and ongoing engagement and the support of Peer Supporters, in collaboration with key stakeholders and providers. The position will also lead, develop and support delivery of other in-house employee wellbeing and support programs such as ‘Talk to Us' and ‘Reach Out.'
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Qualifications or training in psychology, counselling or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice workplace safety and wellbeing programs and initiatives will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of OHS legislation, including the Psychological Health Regulations will be highly regarded.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
