About the role

South West Healthcare's Mental Health Service's has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary Ngootyoong Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) team in a permanent part time position.

Ngootyoong PARC is a supported recovery orientated mental health residential service provided by South West Healthcare in partnership with ermha365.  Ngootyoong PARC provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or who are in the early stages of their recovery and would benefit from short term (up to 28 days) or medium term (less than 6 month) intensive treatment to strengthen their biological, psychological and social well-being.  A two week day program is also offered.

This is a permanent part time (up to 64 hours per fortnight) position.

What you bring

The role requires a drive to work as part of a skilled team and be responsible for the assessment and treatment of consumers' and their families, in order to help them achieve their personal recovery goals.

The role requires experience providing occupational therapy services in a mental health or similar setting, for an individual who has a desire to assist in recovery goals in relation to consumers' mental health, personal, domestic and community daily living skills.  Group facilitation is also an integral part of the role.
