About the role

Would you like to be part of a team that values your contribution and supports you to make a real difference?

We're seeking Mental Health Clinicians to provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care and support to young people aged 12-25 and their families.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with community-based services, primary health providers, and the broader mental health and wellbeing sector to ensure integrated and responsive care.

Mental Health Clinicians will provide:

  • Direct service provision to groups and individuals.
  • Consultation to mental health and wellbeing sector partners including General Practitioners, Paediatricians
  • Community Development and Education as appropriate to the role.

Position overview

  • 2 x Full-time (80 hours per fortnight) Fixed term positions ending in August 2026 and September 2026
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus

What you bring

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent team building skills with experience in mental health clinical services an advantage.

Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously as well as an ability to work with limited direction, be self-motivated, and provide effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.

 You're proactive, flexible, and resilient and happy to work autonomously, use your initiative, and have a high attention to detail.

You will be

A Registered Psychiatric Nurse with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse and have at least 2 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.

It would be desirable to have a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3

Salary Range: $100,932 - $112,091 pro rata per annum, plus superannuation

An Occupational Therapist with a Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.

  • Occupational Therapist Grade 2

Salary Range: $88,030 - $101,197 pro rata, plus superannuation

A Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

  • Social Worker Grade 2

Salary Range: $88,030 - $101,197 pro rata, plus superannuation

A Psychologist who has registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist. Or A Provisional Psychologist completing a 5+1 program for psychology are supported and eligible to apply

  • Psychologist Grade 2 (Provisional Psychologist completing a 5+1 program for psychology are supported and eligible to apply)

Salary Range: $94,478 - $106,906 pro rata, plus superannuation
