About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team within the Camperdown Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.

The team provides high-quality, integrated mental health services through a collaborative multi-disciplinary model led by the Team Leader and Psychiatrist. The Senior Clinician supports this leadership by coordinating daily clinical practice, ensuring equitable distribution of work, and contributing specialist input alongside core Mental Health Clinician responsibilities.

Position overview

  • Employment Type: Full-time (80 hours per fortnight), Fixed term parental leave cover position

                                         Commencing: September 2025 - ending October 2026

  • Location: Camperdown Campus
  • Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Psychologist Grade 3

What you bring

Registered Nurse: Registered nurse with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse, have at least 5 years' experience in the provision of mental health services and completed of either Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or Masters of Mental Health Nursing (or other relevant Post Graduate Course) required; or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program

Occupational Therapist: Occupational Therapist with a degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency and at least 7 years' experience in the provision of mental health services

Social Worker: Social Worker with a degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and at least 7 years' experience in the provision of mental health services

Psychologist:  Psychologist with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist and at least 5 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.
