About the Business Unit:
The Security and Emergency Services Group (SESG) provides security services and incident and emergency response to the correctional system. SESG is responsible for providing immediate and longer-term support through its diverse portfolios such as emergency and incident response, High Security Escort of prisoners, state-wide training services, barrier control, search and canine services and management of firearms.
About the Role:
As a Workforce Support Officer, some of your duties will include:
- Providing overarching support to various elements of the SESG unit, ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of operational services within the correctional system
- Managing the scheduling of SESG operational staff, enabling effective service delivery and supporting the unit's strategic and day-to-day functions
- Managing an internal email inbox ensuring timely and effective stakeholder communication.
This position takes place primarily within the SESG Building at Western Plains. However, you may be required to occasionally attend other locations.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Knowledge of Security and Emergency Services Group, State Training Group and the Emergency Response Group operations and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding and operational knowledge of the corrections system and key issues impacting Corrections Victoria would be advantageous
- Proven administrative experience in a high-volume environment and understanding of confidentiality requirements would be highly regarded
- Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft Windows and MS Office application suite software.
