The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Talent Business Partner to provide a critical role within Youth Justice.
About the Business Unit
The Recruitment Services branch within People Safety and Culture provides expert advice and support to the department on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices.
About the Role
Bring your recruitment expertise to where it matters most — helping shape the future of Youth Justice and the wider Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).
As a Senior Talent Partner, you'll work collaboratively with leaders to deliver innovative and strategic talent solutions that support our department's goals. You'll lead end-to-end recruitment for Youth Justice Community roles, design and implement rolling recruitment models, attend career events, and mentor team members to strengthen recruitment capability across the organisation.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in strategic and operational recruitment delivery
- Strong knowledge of the labour market and public sector recruitment frameworks
- Exceptional stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- The ability to coach, influence and build trusted partnerships across all levels
- Prior recruitment experience and understanding of a rolling recruitment model, as well as demonstrated experience working within a highly regulated environment would be highly desirable
- A qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or other relevant discipline is desirable.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the labour market including current and emerging economic, social, and political levers for labour trends on a local, regional and global basis.
- Subject matter knowledge and professional experience in designing, implementing, and coordinating various recruitment selection tools and methodologies (e.g. end-to-end recruitment, rolling and campaign recruitment).
Qualifications/requirements
A qualification in Human Resources / Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
