About the Business Unit:
The Post Sentence Authority (the Authority) is an independent statutory body which supports the protection of the community by monitoring and reviewing individuals who are subject to ongoing supervision and detention under Victoria's post sentence scheme.
The Authority is responsible for reviewing the progress, risks and behaviours of individuals subject to orders due to serious offending, monitoring their compliance with conditions contained in Supervision Orders and Detention Orders, and monitoring ongoing risks of reoffending.
The Authority also reviews the delivery of services to serious offenders by government agencies, to ensure that service delivery is effectively coordinated and appropriately targeted to each offender's specific risks.
About the Role:
This position sits within the secretariat.
Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Review and Assessment Coordinator plays a crucial role in reviewing, assessing and triaging information about the behaviour, risk, and compliance of people on post sentence orders. They play a key role in listing matters to support the Authority's decision-making under the Serious Offenders Act 2018, coordinating the Authority's hearings, and actioning decisions and requests in an accurate and timely manner.
Some of your duties will include:
- Collecting, collating, assessing, analysing, coordinating and preparing information that is highly confidential and sensitive so that it can be considered by members of the Authority, often within tight timeframes
- Providing support to Authority members during hearings to ensure smooth and efficient hearing processes
- Facilitating meetings and record decisions during hearings and ensure that decisions are actioned by relevant areas
- Assisting in the effective management of day-to-day operations.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in, or capapcity to learn and use, Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice Community Safety systems and applications
- Demonstrated analytical capability of both quantitative and qualitative data
- The ability to see things from another person's perspective and an understanding of the motivations, needs and wants of the stakeholders.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The ability to use administrative systems, in particular, Microsoft Office suite, is desirable.
