About the Business Unit:
This position is based at Hopkins Correctional Centre in Ararat in regional Victoria. Hopkins Correctional Centre is a medium security prison located in Western Victoria housing up to 798 people. The prison takes a multi-disciplinary approach that promotes active participation in activities structured to assist with rehabilitation and reintegration back to community at end of sentence
About the Role:
Reporting to the Justice Officer Team Leader, the Justice Officer – Business Support role provides accurate and timely administrative and support services to Hopkins Correctional Centre and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing administrative support and client services relevant to the location
- Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review, and processing of applications
- Providing reception and telephone responses for the location.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in a range of corporate business administration related tasks, including reception, minute taking, and data entry
- The ability to cooperate and work well with others in pursuit of team goals while sharing information and acknowledge others' efforts, stepping in to help others where required
- The ability to respond to clients' needs while keeping the client or stakeholder up to date with issues and developments and promptly following through on inquiries, requests and complaints.
