About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Physiotherapy Department provides best practice, patient centred care to patients and clients across a variety of settings including inpatient wards and the community setting.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapists to join our large, vibrant, supportive and passionate team of 23 Physiotherapists, 9 Allied Health Assistants & 2 Exercise Physiologists. This Grade 1 role will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to undertake assessments and contribute to the clinical planning of individual care for each client and their family, utilising a variety of therapies to achieve client goals.

We are a large regional health service with multiple campuses and partnerships to provide therapy onsite at smaller regional health services. The Grade 1 will be exposed to a wide variety of clinical conditions and settings including Intensive care (ICU), Outpatients and Rehabilitation with diverse learning and career development opportunities, including funding for training and regular supervision in collaborative, fun and positive team culture. We provide many opportunities for social events and involvement in non-clinical projects/committees, as well as living in a beautiful part of the world with many outside work activities available, including a regular opt-in Physio Run Club.

Position overview

  • Employment Type: Full time (80 hours per fortnight, with a monthly ADO), Fixed term position
  • Commencing: November 2025 for 12 months
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus
  • Classification: Physiotherapist Grade 1
  • Salary Range: $70,590.00 - $85,872.80 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
  • As a Physiotherapist you will have experience and skills delivering a broad range of clinical services, including assessment, referral and treatment, to individuals and their families across a variety of settings.
  • Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
  • Both graduating and experienced Physiotherapists are encouraged to apply.
