About the role

Southwest Healthcare is excited to offer an opportunity for Psychology Graduates to join our 2026 Allied Health Graduate Program (AHGP). This role is designed to support your professional growth, with access to regular supervision, reflective practice, professional development, and self-care strategies. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based assessments and recovery-focused interventions alongside experienced psychologists. The program includes two 12-month rotations across diverse multidisciplinary teams, enhancing your clinical experience. One rotation in the Camperdown, Hamilton, or Portland campus is encouraged. Participation in an established Dialectical behaviour Therapy team is also offered.

Position overview

  • Full-time (80 hours per fortnight), with a monthly ADO entitlement
  • 24 months Fixed term, commencing February 2026
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus
  • Classification: Psychologist Grade 2, Year 3
  • Salary: $99,148.40 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you will bring:

  • Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and a Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology from an APAC-accredited program.
  • A sound understanding of contemporary, evidence-based practices in mental health assessment, treatment, and care. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 2014, is essential.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
