About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Critical Care Liaison Nurse (CCLN) to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role provides expert consultation, clinical support, and emergency response across the organisation to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care for acutely ill and deteriorating patients.

As an advanced practice clinician, you will play an integral role in supporting and mentoring staff, promoting evidence-based practice, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our health service. Working collaboratively across departments and regional health partners, the CCLN will contribute to strengthening clinical standards, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence in critical and acute care delivery.

  • Salary: $122,907.20 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you bring

The successful applicant will be an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse with advanced clinical skills and a passion for supporting high-quality, patient-centred care. You bring strong leadership, critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to guide, educate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Essential requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing and at least five years' ICU experience.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) accreditation.
  • Proven ability to lead change, apply evidence-based practice and use clinical data to improve outcomes.
  • A commitment to South West Healthcare's values of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.

Desirable: postgraduate (Master's) studies, ALS2 accreditation and/or prior leadership or liaison nurse experience.
