About the Business Unit:
The Video Conferencing Coordination Unit (VCCU) supports the work of the Sentence Management Division within Corrections Victoria and is responsible for the coordination of all video conferences/Audio Visual Links (AVL) where a prisoner is involved, including but not limited to: court appearances (TeleCourt), conferences with legal representatives and court ordered assessments.
About the Role:
Working closely with prison staff and senior stakeholders, including court registry staff and the legal profession, the Video Conferencing Officer is responsible for day-to-day liaison and scheduling of matters with relevant stakeholders including prison custodial and records staff, court registry staff, legal professionals, external assessors and service providers.
Some of your duties will include:
- Liaising with Court registry staff to provide timely and accurate information on the location of prisoners within the custody of Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria and the Youth Justice System.
- Liaising with prison records personnel, custodial staff and court registrars to schedule TeleCourt appearances.
- Adhering to defined scheduling practices within the VCCU.

- The ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines as well as being able to act with initiative where guidelines are not available
- The ability to takes steps to add value for the client or stakeholder while linking people with other areas as appropriate aand monitoring client and stakeholder satisfaction
- Demonstrated experience maintaining clear scheduling practices to maximise operational efficiencies.
