About the role
As a Community Work Development Officer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of productive community work partnerships. You will actively seek opportunities for individuals to participate in meaningful work to promote their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
You will:
- Build and maintain sustainable relationships with community work partners regarding programs that offer meaningful work opportunities for our clients.
- Allocate relevant community work to individuals subject to community work hours, monitoring compliance against order requirements.
- Provide direction, support and assistance to the team in relation to community work practices and operating standards.
- Keep accurate records, prepare reports and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
The position will be required to adhere to local or regional rostering arrangements and other staffing management practices as directed. Travel to other locations across the North West Metro region may be required.
About you
You will have the ability to develop partnerships and foster productive relationships with stakeholders. Experience in community services, not-for-profit or community development is also desirable.
You should also have:
- experience in effectively developing and maintaining productive and sustainable partnerships with community organisations
- excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- an ability to work collaboratively and mentor your colleagues
- reasonable computer skills, being able to produce documents and perform a range of data and record keeping activities
