South West Healthcare (SWH), Warrnambool, Victoria has exciting opportunities for Specialist Medical Oncologists either Full time or VMO/fractional to join our cancer service for commencement in the second half of 2026 or early 2027.

SWH is seeking specialist medical oncologists who thrive in a supportive, collaborative clinical environment. You will be welcomed into a dynamic team working with other VMO and staff specialist colleagues and committed nursing and allied health staff with a diverse range of special interest and expertise, committed to delivering safe, best practice clinical services to patients. 

Our Specialist Oncologists will participate in the provision of high quality, oncology outpatient and inpatient services.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching programme for undergraduate medical students via affiliate positions with Deakin University, junior medical staff and physician trainees.  Experience and interest in quality improvement is also highly valued.

Opportunities to advance research interests are also available.

What you bring

The successful applicant will be a registered medical practitioner with AHPRA.

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with specialist recognition as a Medical  Oncologist is essential for this position.

A willingness to participate in registrar teaching and demonstrated experience in teaching junior medical staff, medical students and training of nursing staff would be highly valued.
