What you will do
As coordinator, conferencing team, you will lead support services for victims involved in youth justice conferencing.
You will guide staff, support victims and help improve restorative justice services across Victoria.
You will:
- lead trauma-informed support for victims taking part in youth justice conferencing
- mentor and support staff through reflective and supportive leadership
- provide specialist advice on restorative justice practice and victim support
- support victims before, during and after group conferences across Victoria
- keep accurate records and support a culturally safe workplace.
About you
You must hold a relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, human services, law or a related field. You can also apply if you have at least five years of relevant practice experience.
You should also have:
- strong knowledge of restorative justice practice and group conferencing
- experience leading teams through coaching, mentoring and support
- confidence working with trauma, young people and people who have caused harm
- the ability to build respectful relationships and improve services through feedback.
