About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking applications for our Graduate Midwifery program - Post graduate pathway.

This program will ensure newly registered midwives are able to consolidate their knowledge with a framework of supportive midwifery practice. We recognise that your needs and objectives in a graduate midwifery program are different, and we have a program that ensures consolidation of your midwifery practice. Graduates will participate in rotations across the continuum of pregnancy care, including birthing and postnatal.

  • The successful applicant will hold current registration with AHPRA as both a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. They will bring demonstrated clinical competence, underpinned by a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • They will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams across all levels of the organisation.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to ongoing education and professional development, actively maintaining and enhancing their clinical knowledge and skills in line with contemporary practice standards.
