Exciting Opportunity for Grade 2 Occupational Therapist
About the role:
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Allied health Team.
In this rewarding role, you will support infants and children aged 0-8years who present with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, physical disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Working within a multidisciplinary, family-centred model of care, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention services that promote participation, independence, and meaningful outcomes for children and their families.
Your role may include:
- Conducting assessments and delivering intervention for children with a range of developmental needs.
- Supporting the development of functional skills, participation, and independence.
- Collaborating closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
- Contributing to group programs and innovative models of service delivery
- Working alongside Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, an Advanced Developmental Paediatric Practitioner, and a Behaviour Support Specialist.
Position Overview
- Part-time (48 hours per fortnight)
- Fixed-term position commencing 17 August 2026 to 02 October 2026 (long service leave cover)
- Salary Range: $90,235.60 - $103,724.40 pro rata - plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services within a paediatric setting.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
What you bring
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum three years clinical experience, including paediatric experience
- A genuine passion for working with children and families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
