Exciting Opportunity for Grade 2 Occupational Therapist

 About the role:

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Allied health Team.

In this rewarding role, you will support infants and children aged 0-8years who present with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, physical disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Working within a multidisciplinary, family-centred model of care, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention services that promote participation, independence, and meaningful outcomes for children and their families.

Your role may include:

  • Conducting assessments and delivering intervention for children with a range of developmental needs.
  • Supporting the development of functional skills, participation, and independence.
  • Collaborating closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to group programs and innovative models of service delivery
  • Working alongside Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, an Advanced Developmental Paediatric Practitioner, and a Behaviour Support Specialist.   

 Position Overview

  • Part-time (48 hours per fortnight)
  • Fixed-term position commencing 17 August 2026 to 02 October 2026 (long service leave cover)
  • Salary Range: $90,235.60 - $103,724.40 pro rata - plus superannuation

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services within a paediatric setting.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

 What you bring

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum three years clinical experience, including paediatric experience
  • A genuine passion for working with children and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
