Internal - Applications for Enrolled Nurse Level 3

South West Healthcare invites applications from current Enrolled Nurses seeking advancement to Enrolled Nurse Level 3, in line with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2024–2028. Opportunities are offered twice yearly to nurses who meet the required experience or hold a relevant post-registration qualification, and can demonstrate achievement in at least four of the Advanced Enrolled Nurse competency standards. This includes contributions to clinical practice, leadership, education, quality improvement, and professional development. Applications must be supported by the relevant Nurse Unit Manager and submitted via the People Hub, including all required documentation and referee details.

Position Details

In accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024-2028 South West Healthcare will consider applications for advancement to Enrolled Nurse Level 3 twice per year.

Applicants must provide evidence of achievement of four out of the ten Advanced Enrolled Nurse Level 3 Competency Standards (as listed below and in clause 82.7 of the EA), together with either:

  • A minimum of four years' post registration experience as an Enrolled Nurse;

or

  • A post registration qualification (of at least 6 months or 200 hours duration), a component of which is relevant to the role.

Enrolled Nurse Competency Standards

  • Contributes to the education of new graduate Enrolled Nurses and/or Trainee Enrolled Nurses.
  • Is involved in committees and working parties within and/or beyond the work unit;
  • Assists in the coordination of delegated activities of other staff under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Acts as a resource to others.
  • Contributes to quality improvement within their work area or the workplace and/or changes in enrolled nursing practice initiatives.
  • Practices using specialised or advanced knowledge and skills in a clinical area within the enrolled nursing scope of practice.
  • Modifies practice to accommodate patient/client health care needs of individuals and groups in different environments.
  • Undertakes an additional responsibility either individually or as part of a clinical/quality team.
  • Is aware of and functions in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures affecting enrolled nursing practice.
  • Actively participates in team leadership and decision making.
