Position Details
About the Role
The Data Officer is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant management, monitoring, and reporting of Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED) and Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD) data to the Health Data Standards and Systems (HDSS) unit.
The role ensures the integrity of statutory reporting processes through ongoing data validation, monitoring, analysis, and quality assurance activities, while supporting organisational compliance with state reporting requirements and data standards.
Position overview
- Permanent, Part Time (32 hours fortnight)
- Classification: Administration Grade 3
- Warrnambool Campus
What you Bring
- Proven experience managing, validating, analysing, and reporting on healthcare datasets, including VAED and VEMD submissions
- Strong understanding of Victorian Department of Health data standards, business rules, and compliance requirements, particularly in relation to HDSS reporting
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of data quality, accuracy, and integrity within complex information systems
