What you will do
As senior advisor, risk, you will provide expert advice on risks across the department. You will help teams apply clear and practical risk management approaches.
You will:
- provide clear advice to help teams identify, assess and manage risks
- support risk registers, systems, policies, training and tools across the department
- design and deliver practical training and projects that build risk knowledge
- lead reviews that improve risk policies, processes and guidance
- prepare high-quality briefings that support senior leaders and ministers.
About you
Qualifications in assurance, risk management, governance or a related field are desirable. Strong practical experience in complex workplaces is highly valued.
You should also have:
- strong risk experience, including identifying, assessing and reducing operational risks
- practical knowledge of risk frameworks, standards and sound risk practices
- sound judgement when applying risk policies and guidance to real workplace situations
- clear communication skills and the ability to solve problems with others.
