What you will do
As security officer, you will help protect the department's information and technology systems.
You will support cyber security, information management and audit activities across the department.
You will:
- provide trusted cyber security advice and practical support.
- coordinate important audits, risk assessments and assurance activities.
- prepare clear briefs, reports and information about incidents and emerging risks.
- deliver practical cyber security training, workshops and awareness sessions.
- manage timely responses to cyber security incidents, maintain security records and support the information security inbox.
About you
Qualifications in IT or cybersecurity are desirable. You must also be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
You should also have:
knowledge of cyber security, information security or protective security frameworks.
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- the ability to build positive working relationships and communicate clearly with different audiences.
- experience planning work, supporting projects and working well with others.
