What you will do
As senior budget and finance analyst, you will provide expert financial advice and help guide major budget decisions.
You will support strong financial planning while improving how the department manages public money.
You will:
- provide expert financial advice to support planning budgeting and performance
- lead budget submissions business cases and costings for cabinet committee processes
- deliver accurate forecasts financial analysis and reports that support informed decisions
- improve financial processes while supporting compliance with departmental standards
- build strong working relationships and support better financial knowledge across the group.
About you
A relevant qualification in policy, strategy or finance is desirable. Experience in public sector policy and financial management will help you succeed in this role.
You should also have:
- strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- sound knowledge of budgeting forecasting and financial management
- clear communication skills and confidence explaining complex financial information
- proven ability to build relationships improve processes and deliver practical solutions.
