What you will do
As Senior Legal Policy Officer, you will shape policy and legislative reform for victims.
You will provide clear advice and help deliver major government reforms.
You will:
- analyse complex policy issues and use data to guide policy development
- provide clear advice on victims' issues to ministers and senior leaders
- contribute to major policy, legal and reform projects that support victims
- prepare accurate reports, briefings, submissions and correspondence for government
- support effective advice on the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme.
About you
A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution is highly desirable.
You should also have:
- strong analytical and policy skills, including using data to inform policy
- sound knowledge of policy development and government processes
- high-quality written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- flexible problem-solving skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
