What you will do
As Program Officer, you will support people seeking redress under state schemes. You will help applicants access support and keep clear, accurate records.
You will:
- provide sensitive support to scheme participants within set timeframes.
- manage emails and written enquiries, and provide clear administrative support.
- guide applicants through their redress outcomes under scheme policies and guidelines.
- keep accurate records of redress outcomes, including counselling and therapeutic services.
- maintain professional boundaries and treat each participant fairly.
About you
A qualification in social work, psychology and/or nursing is highly desirable. Experience in victim support, trauma services or complex health support is also valued.
You should also have:
- trauma-informed case management experience supporting people who have experienced trauma or harm.
- strong administration skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
- resilience and empathy when handling difficult information and challenging conversations.
- clear problem-solving and communication skills that help you understand people and find practical solutions.
