About us
Victims, Redress and System Reform (VRSR) is part of the Community Safety, Victims and Racing division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. VRSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime and the administration of redress schemes.
What you will do
As team leader, you will guide a team supporting people through redress schemes.
You will help staff provide safe, consistent and respectful support to participants.
You will:
- provide clear guidance and support to staff who help scheme participants
- lead accurate records and reports about service delivery
- check that staff follow laws, policies and approved processes
- identify issues and develop practical ways to improve services
- build positive working relationships and support priorities across the department.
About you
A tertiary qualification in social services, business or public administration is highly desirable.
You should also have:
- team leadership experience in a complex service system, including staff support and mentoring
- victim-centred service experience, with knowledge of sexual abuse or mental health
- public service experience in a highly regulated work setting
- resilience and empathy when supporting staff through challenging or distressing work.
