Position Details

About us

The justice system plays a leading role in responding to family violence and is pivotal to ensuring women and children are safe and perpetrators are held to account. The Royal Commission into Family Violence Implementation and Coordination Unit manages the Department's response to the Royal Commission findings.

The Royal Commission recommended a new law to facilitate greater information sharing in relation to family violence risk assessment and risk management and to ensure effective information sharing for all Information Sharing Entities (ISEs). In response the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (the FVIS Scheme) was created.

About the role

As the Culture Change Strategy Project Officer, you will provide practical assistance to help business units implement strategies to embed sustainable and enduring information sharing practice change. This includes:

  • design and delivery of critical communication products to support culture change across the department
  • the design and production of critical artefacts, products and resources to support cultural change in business units
  • facilitation of working groups, communities of practice and other fora to facilitate FVIS culture change
  • the research, development and delivery of case based training for business unit staff to make the information sharing more relevant to their work and to empower them to make sound decisions under the scheme.

Please note that this is a fixed term opportunity until June 30, 2019.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • ability to analyse and understand structural supports and barriers to change and to work effectively across the organisation to improve practice
  • ability to influence and support others in working to achieve change as well as strong stakeholder management to confidently facilitate working groups to facilitate FVIS culture change
  • demonstrated experience in designing and develop artefacts, products and resources to support cultural change
  • practice knowledge of family violence, including in the justice sector.
