After Hours Coordinator – Dunolly Nursing Home

Permanent Part Time – 40 hours per fortnight

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 5 (ZC5).

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024

You will assist in changing the healthcare story with the local rural community and be a part of the process as we build a wonderful new hospital.  Whether you are wishing to take a step in pursuit of higher level management or purely wanting to lead, mentor and impart your industry and professional knowledge to aspiring healthcare staff, this position provides a challenge and is an integral role at our MDHS Dunolly campus.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant Post-Graduate qualifications in Gerontology and/or working towards Management
    or undertaking current studies is desirable.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills with relevant experience in the clinical speciality
  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership and management competencies.
  • Experience in management of change process and development of new services.
  • Manages and engages with stakeholders consistent with MDHS values of GREAT
  • Knowledge of contemporary Human Resources management issues including workplace health and safety, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
  • High level computer skills; Residential Aged Care IT Systems and Microsoft Office© Suite.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, coordination and organisational skills
