Position Details

1 x Full Time ongoing position with monthly ADO

1 x Part Time ongoing position, 32.0 hours per fortnight

Hours may be negotiable 

BRHS has recently been awarded funding to enable the expansion of our team of Security Officers.  We are seeking two qualified Security Officers to join our team and provide security coverage across BRHS premises in the afternoon and early evening.  It is envisaged a full time and part time position will be appointed to, however these hours may be negotiable.

Security Officers at BRHS provide a professional, overnight security presence that monitors internal and external BRHS premises and assets, responds in the case of an incident or emergency, and works closely with the Clinical Coordinator to support staff and ensure a safe environment at BRHS. 

It is preferred that applicants for this vacancy have recent experience as a Security Officer and have the flexibility to work across a 7 day roster and provide leave coverage for team members.  Shifts for these positions will be from 12.00 midday to 8.30pm.    


The successful applicant will demonstrate: 

  • Current Victorian security licence
  • Minimum Certificate II in Security mandatory, Certificate III in Security is desirable
  • Proven knowledge of security industry procedures
  • Ability to work and act unsupervised with a high degree of initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and have a good understanding of the benefits of a team approach
  • Well-developed ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to successfully prioritise duties
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of duties
